Heat and cold, handled sensibly

Sauna and cold plunge should feel controlled, not extreme. These basics help first-time visitors choose safely.

Avoid alcohol before heat and cold exposure.
Do not use the sauna or plunge if you feel unwell, faint, feverish or dehydrated.
Speak to a medical professional before booking if you are pregnant, have heart or blood-pressure concerns, epilepsy, diabetes complications, Raynaud's, or any condition affected by heat or cold.
Cold plunge is optional. Short exposure is enough for beginners.

Sauna and cold plunge FAQs

Practical answers before your first visit, membership purchase or private hire enquiry.

What should I bring to Fuse Saunas?

Bring your swimsuit and two towels. You can wear cycling shorts, a cover-up or anything comfortable, with sliders or easy footwear. Water and cups are provided. Arrive five minutes early so you can settle in before your session starts.

Is cold plunge suitable for beginners?

Yes. You can enter gradually, stay in for a short time and move between heat and cold at your own pace. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or are unsure, speak to a medical professional before booking.

How do I pay for a public session?

Public sessions are paid in full online when you book. Active paid members can reserve eligible sessions using their allowance.

Do members need to pay again when booking?

No. Active paid members sign in to their Fuse account and reserve eligible sessions against their plan allowance. If the account has no active allowance, the booking is paid in full online.

Where is Fuse Saunas based?

Fuse Saunas is based at The Yard @ Advantage Padel, 19 Daleside Road, Nottingham NG2 3GJ, with easy access from Colwick, West Bridgford, Carlton, Gedling, Arnold and the wider East Midlands.

Is there parking?

Come through the blue gates at The Yard @ Advantage Padel, then round to the back car park. Arrive five minutes before your booked time so you are not rushing into heat and cold.

Are partner offers available?

Eligible referrals include ReNu Physio (20%), Studio Forma (20%), Gedling Colonics (£30 for 3), Advantage Padel (20% for members or £12 for players), Strong Mum Collective Nottingham (£12), NHS social prescribing (£10) and students (£12). Ask Fuse through the contact page before booking so eligibility can be confirmed; no automatic discount or partner code is applied.

What should I wear?

Bring your swimsuit and two towels. You can wear cycling shorts, a cover-up or anything comfortable for moving between sauna and plunge, with easy footwear such as sliders. Water and cups are provided.

When should I arrive?

Arrive five minutes before your booked time. Late arrival may shorten your session because the next group still needs to start on time.

What if I am nervous about the cold plunge?

You do not have to stay in for a fixed time. Your host can support you, and many first-time visitors feel nervous at first. Start with a short dip, focus on breathing and step out whenever you need to. The goal is a gradual experience, not forcing it.

Do you offer private hire?

Yes. Fuse is available for private sessions, hen dos, birthdays, sports team recovery, wellness collaborations, corporate wellbeing and small group experiences.

How much is private hire?

Private hire is £150 for 90 minutes or £200 for 120 minutes. Request your preferred time and extras; Louise confirms availability, capacity and payment terms before booking. No payment is required for an enquiry.

Can I cancel or move my booking?

You can move the same booking online only when both the current session and the new session are more than 48 hours away. At 48 hours or less, or for a cancellation, refund or credit request, contact Fuse for team review at its discretion; no automatic refund or credit is promised.

Can I buy a membership?

Yes. Fuse offers an intro pack plus Core, Core+ and Unlimited monthly options for people who want regular sauna and cold plunge sessions. Create or sign in to a Fuse account before buying so your paid allowance is linked to future bookings.
